Mother of three sons - Gregory, Ph.D., Professor of Sociology; Brian, U.S. Marine Corps (former)/ Dog Trainer; Aaron, Pro Skateboarder/Actor - Maureen and husband Chuck lived in Wisconsin for 30 years where Chuck ws an executive with AXA Financial Company. While there Maureen received a B.S. degree with a double major in Art and Apparel/Textile Design from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. It was there she also began her training as a photographer. Upon retirement she (and now "Idle Chuck") moved to Casey Key in Southwest Florida. As a volunteer for Mote Marine, she became known as "The Turtle Lady", walking the beach every morning, camera in hand, identifying nests, rescuing turtles, talking to the fishermen and photographing beach life. Always looking for something new, Maureen's love of photography and her passion for design has led her in an exciting new direction. She is printing digital photos on haboti silk, hand beading and embroidering them with metallic thread - creating an original art form. Maureen's new business, Maux Designs, includes photography, cards, silk prints, custom beaded portraits, and beaded photo art. (And she is a proud, but humble
